There are many areas you can set goals in: Health, Relationships, Career, Leisure, Family, Spiritual. Let’s look at three that could impact on your journey.
This area is all about you. About extending your skills, your education, your experience. You could consider setting goals in time management, mindset, emotional intelligence, public speaking, conflict resolution, active listening. There are many more options, so how do you choose.
Brainstorm – where do you want to go in your life? What skills do you have now? What skills are you going to need to get where you want to go? What resources do you need to get those skills and what time frame do you have?
Once you have picked two or three options then put a plan in place to achieve your personal growth. Remember to review and reset.
This is about your business, what it is like now, where you want to take it. This area will be very much dependent on how long you have been in business, what sort of business you have, your market, products and/or service.
Goals to consider for business could include increase market share, diversification, new products, leadership skills for your team, customer service, clients, services, website, business expansion.
gain, focus on two or three goals and put in place the plans and actions you need to do to achieve your business goals.
This is about supporting your business and you to achieve the lifestyle and success you want to achieve.
Goals to consider creating a budget, paying off debt, increase revenue, increase profits, gain financial education, save for short term, mid-term and long-term plans.
Make sure your finance goals are specific and detailed. For example, if your goal is financial education, it could be to read at least four finance books in the next six months. If your goal is to increase revenue -work the number and be specific in how much, how long.
Whichever area you choose to concentrate on remember to make your goals SMART. They need to be Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Realistic/Relevant and Timely.
Put appropriate plans and action in place to achieve the goals and always review and refocus.
