Do You Want to Know About the ADHD Conference?

Do you want more information about ADHD in Australia? I know that Australia doesn’t currently have much about ADHD itself and the support can be lacking, but I can safely say we are getting there slowly.  I can vouch for that as I am a member of an ADHD Advocacy Group and we are making some good moves in the right direction.

However, today we are talking about what is available now.   For the second year Beyond the Maze is holding an ADHD Conference for Teachers, Parents & Carers.  If you are an adult with ADHD, then you will get something out of this as well.

You have two conference options this year, in Newcastle, NSW and another at the Sunshine Coast, Qld.  Today we are talking about the Newcastle conference which is full steam ahead in the planning.

What will you get from one of our conferences?

You get access to specialists who are in the world of ADHD everyday for the price that you may pay for just 30 minutes with just one of these speakers!   For Newcastle we have a great line up and you will hear one-hour presentations from a Paediatrician, Occupational Therapist, ADHD Coach, Resilience Counsellor, Psychologist, Nutritionist and a Learning Support Teacher.   How awesome is that line up!  Imagine how much you would pay if you had appointment with each of them in one week!  I hate to think.

But not only will you get access to these specialists, you can also form some great connections!  We all know that having a child with ADHD can result in a lonely road sometimes, imagine how it would feel if you could pick up the phone and call someone that gets what you are going through.   You will meet these people at a conference like this!

Who should attend the conference?

If you are a teacher and have a student with ADHD in the classroom, you should be there.

If you are a parent with a child with ADHD, you should be there.

If you are a carer or extended family member who cares for a child with ADHD, you should be there.

What is the point you may ask?

Do you want to support your child or student be the best person they can be?

Do you want to have more skills and understanding about ADHD?

Do you want to support yourself with more strategies to make your life easier?

If you answered yes to any of these, if you are anything like me I answered yes to all of them, then that is the point.

You will walk away with new strategies that you can implement as soon as you get home.  You will feel more confident being armed with those strategies.

Held at the convenient location of the Raymond Terrace Bowls Club over two days, one being for teachers and the other for parents, you will find this conference a great source of information.

Here we have a comment from one of our teachers from our last conference:

“The quality and variety of the speakers was amazing.  I’m going back to my school with information to help the learning support, classroom teachers & the parents.  Thank you.  Veronica – Teacher.

Here we have a comment from one of our parents from our last conference:

“Everyone was so passionate, which made it interesting.  Having access to a large range of professionals in one spot was great”
